Caprese Salad

with Red Fork Balsamic Basil Vegetable Skillet Sauce

Here’s a simple way to make a delicious version of Caprese salad all year long: Mix cherry tomatoes with small balls of fresh mozzarella. We’ve seasoned everything with our Red Fork Balsamic Basil Vegetable Skillet Sauce and a handful of fresh basil.  

Serves 6 as a side dish

Ingredients

1    pouch (4 ounces) Red Fork Balsamic Basil Vegetable Skillet Sauce

2    pints cherry tomatoes, halved

2    pints small fresh mozzarella balls, packed in water, halved

1/3  cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced

Salt, freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions

Put sauce, tomatoes, mozzarella and ¼ cup of the basil into a large bowl. Mix gently. Taste and seasoning with salt and pepper.
Serve at room temperature garnished with remaining basil.
